  • Pashinyan, Putin 'may have meeting' on May 29

    The chairperson of the Russian Federal Council has announced plams for a possible meeting between President Vladimir Putin and the prime minister of Armenia.

    Receiving Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan, Valentina Matvienko said they may arrange the Russian leader's talks with Nikol Pashinyan on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council's session on May 29.

    ''Our countries' leaders met seven times last year; they maintain permanent contact and hold telephone conversations. A meeting will take place on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council's May 29 summit which will be held in Kazakhstan. Also on November 1, a similar event will be conducted in Yerevan to enable our our countries' leaders to have another meeting,'' RIA Novosti quotes her as saying.
